Following the appointment of a seasoned CEO, the company sought to build out a high-caliber executive team to support its accelerated growth objectives. As part of this initiative, the company launched a search for a Senior Director of Strategy to drive key initiatives across the organization.
The ideal candidate would possess a strong ability to proactively lead strategic processes, engage stakeholders at all levels, and effectively communicate complex ideas. The role also required experience with M&A strategy, due diligence, growth initiatives, and operational transformation efforts. Additional priorities included managing insource vs. outsource decisions, vendor negotiations, and the ability to toggle between high-level strategy and tactical execution.
The search focused on individuals with management consulting backgrounds and demonstrated experience in both strategic and operational roles. Priority was given to candidates who had worked in elder care, technology, or PE-backed environments and who could seamlessly integrate into a mission-driven, fast-paced organization.
The selected candidate brought a combination of consulting and operational experience. With previous experience at Oliver Wyman, they had previous experience driving significant growth. They also had extensive experience in the family care industry, having previously been a Partner and Senior Vice President at a children’s learning center. In that role, they oversaw the organization’s growth and expansion, helping scale operations from five to fifteen locations.
The company hired a strong strategic leader with a background in consulting and operational execution. With demonstrated experience growing a multi-site business and a clear, confident communication style, the candidate was well-positioned to support the CEO and broader leadership team, as well as the company’s next chapter of growth.
