Our client is a privately owned, iconic luxury retailer known for offering a curated selection of products, unmatched services, and exclusive customer experiences. The Challenge / Mandate

To support a major supply chain transformation, including the construction of two new facilities and system re-platforming, the client established a Program Management Office (PMO) to oversee six workstreams. However, they recognized the need for a strong PMO Lead to bring discipline and structure to the effort.


The PMO Lead was tasked with:

  • Providing cross-functional leadership and integration across six interdependent supply chain workstreams
  • Managing dependencies, change requests, risk mitigation, and progress tracking
  • Strengthening PMO execution by establishing effective governance, documentation, and reporting processes
  • Coordinating with workstream project managers, business owners, and process owners
  • Offering tactical guidance and professional pushback where needed

The role reported directly to the VP of Supply Chain Transformation and included oversight of two junior PMO support resources.


Search Strategy

The search focused on senior program management professionals with proven experience leading large, complex transformations. Priority was given to candidates with:

  • Functional Experience: PMO leadership, cross-functional program oversight, governance, change control, and delivery assurance
  • Seniority: Manager, Principal, or Partner-level background with top-tier consulting or enterprise transformation experience
  • Keywords Used: PMO, Program Management Office, Transformation Lead
  • Key Attributes: Maturity, high EQ, structured problem-solving, and ability to operate tactfully within a high-visibility, executive-driven environment
