Our client advises their own clients on strategy, corporate development, M&A and operational improvement / turnaround mandates. It also assists private equity sponsors with strategic due diligence and taking on operating partner roles with portfolio companies.


They are a “virtual firm” of Aviation experts available to larger firms on a subcontract basis. Each of their Affiliates has significant expertise in aviation and advisory services (e.g., consulting, assurance, law, investment banking) and prefer to work with larger firms on an as-needed basis rather than as employees or partners.

The Challenge / Mandate

The consultant was brought in to support a data-intensive pricing engagement for a major industrial client. This was a highly visible, client-facing role requiring deep experience in data analytics and pricing. The consultant was responsible for building SQL-based data models, performing ad hoc analysis, and helping develop analytical frameworks to improve price optimization processes across the client's core business units.


The ideal candidate needed top-tier consulting experience, fluency in SQL, and a proven ability to work hands-on with large datasets to uncover insights. Specific experience with pricing analytics was preferred. The search focused on consultants with a background in chemicals, oil & energy, or industrials—someone comfortable navigating complex business environments while engaging directly with client stakeholders.

The selected consultant brought extensive experience in analytics and data strategy, including a leadership role as a Data Analytics Manager at a fast-paced nonprofit startup.
